Cathy was born in London, Ontario, Canada. She works in a representational style using traditional oils on canvas. She will paint commissions from photo references.

Cathy exhibits regularly in Galleries, juried shows and various other venues, primarily in Ontario Canada. She has had work in Galleries in France, The USA and Denmark. She curated an Exhibition to represent Canada with the work of seven artists, including herself, that went to The Netherlands in 2009.

She has had 40 solo exhibitions and participated in over 400 group shows. Her numerous awards include Best in Shows, several public choice and juried awards.  The County of Oxford commissioned a painting for a gift to Taiwan. Two of her paintings were accepted into Toronto’s Arts and Letters Club juried exhibition ‘Next’ in 2015 where they received over 700 entries and only accepted 45.
She has received numerous Ontario Arts Council Exhibition Grants.

Her  work has also gone to the United States, England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Australia, Japan and Viet Nam.

She  teaches, lectures and has painted murals for the Town of Ingersoll. She enjoys acting as a judge and juror for photography and art competitions.

Her work is in numerous corporate, private and permanent collections, some of which include The Government of Ontario, The Woodstock Art Gallery and The Woodstock Hospital.

She is the Western Hub Director for the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA), a member/Docent of The Woodstock Art Gallery and is a past Chairperson of The Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre and a member of  Oxford Creative Connections.

An avid gardener, her work often includes some aspect of nature , and her love of colour and texture is very apparent in her work.
